Lack of interest Open link in new window checkbox

I was surprised to find that there's no "open link in new window" option when adding links to a post. Surely this should be a thing?

External links already do, internal do not.

I suppose if it should be a thing the votes will reflect that.

I believe this is the expected behavior for all sites and I would say has been a standard for links for quite awhile. Internal links move you about the same site on the same tab. External links open in a new tab. If you want something different than this, use right click options.

I think what he is trying to say, is let's give site members options.
I do not think it is a bad idea, and ill give it a vote. Pretty much won't get to the point of being implemented, but I like the idea of giving members options.
