Open Attached Images in a Lightbox

Ok, I presume this may have been suggested before but "Search this Forum" isn't helping me locate such a thread... So direct me there if this suggestion exists.

So the idea is that if images are attached to a post and a user clicks on the thumbnail which is visible below the post, the actual image should open in a Lightbox and not in a new tab/page as it is doing currently.

Highslide, not lightbox... Highslide is a lot more flexible and can be used in a non-modal fashion which is very useful if you want to be able to keep the image open and still read the text below it. You can move the image around so you can see the text that is underneath, much more useful. Take a look at the examples:

Personally, if we're going for *box, then I like Colorbox the most. but Highslide looks darn tasty

Highslide looks like a perfect fit for XenForo. Has the same clean look and modern function. Does more than just images too, could some of that pose a problem? Like HTML content? I suppose that function could be disabled?

a bit late but I would also like to cast in a +1 for highslide over a standard "lightbox". Being able to drag around images on the screen, in addition to opening multiple images at once is great.
