OnlyWire - Automated Social Network Posting Solution

As I was playing around with affiliate stuff, and am an affiliate of OnlyWire, I signed up to their free service which allows a single RSS feed automated out to Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus. Up until now I've been using Twitterfeed, which has been good, but is tedious and requires ongoing verification to keep your feed going and such. Let alone you need to input forum by forum to feed them.

OnlyWire allows you to grab your homepage public RSS feed, input it, then away it goes, automatically updating the main players every hour.

After playing around with the free service, I know from my analytics that other social networks provide me significant traffic, so I upgraded to their pro package for $60 a year which allows 1000 posts a month and more importantly many more social networks (testing). Set and forget, automatic. No more issues in getting all the latest content onto all the major social sites. If you have two or three forums, then the pro package makes it easy for you to send all sites onto your feeds at once. You can buy as most posts to be posted as you need. Just cost you more.

This has been a bug in my backside for years now, finding a single solution that can do the job properly. I did a search here and nobody had mentioned this one before, and I'd certainly never heard it either, until playing around with affiliate links and discovering them myself.

They've also got an enterprise plan for those who want to submit significant feeds. The single homepage feed has all forums in the one feed, public that is, so you can do it singularly without issue. The enterprise plan, IF you want far greater control, is around the $80 a month range and 5000 submissions. You have unlimited feeds with the enterprise plan. You can upgrade all plans submission level to cater your forum post count.

This can seriously boost start-ups in the right direction, getting all your forum content onto major social networks freely / cheaply, depending on your budget, with a set and forget solution, let alone established sites driving far more social network traffic.

I know I've been struggling to find a solution this good for years... and now I have, I'm not sure whether others are aware of it.

Yup... I'm currently trialling out their 10000 post plan, obviously as you post to more networks, 1 x post to 10 networks equals 10 posts. Can add up quickly...

I'm pushing out to 14 networks at present, and in two days my Google analytics has doubled+ in social referrals, in only two days.

I want to see what its like in a week or two, and then, more importantly, the impact that automatically posting onto all these various social networks gives in several months via any rankings improvements. If it works out well, then the cost will be better monies spent than what I've used on Adwords, per month.

Time will tell... but I will certainly update this over the coming months.

So far, so good. I'm around the 3 week mark, ending a month 13th Dec, and still going strong. You can see where it pretty much kicked in after the first day or so around mid November.

I honestly don't believe these results are close to accurate just yet, as stated above, I will test this for a minimum of 3 months and post another graph at that time to show what automatic posting results have done, and in relation to traffic graphs for correlation.

I think it will likely take me closer to six months for the most accurate of testing to truly reflect any organic ranking benefit or not from this.

I got booted from one network as I auto post about 20 - 30 threads on each network a day, but it was some off shoot, nothing one... all the major ones seem fine, of which I'm posting to 14 off with good results thus far. The most important are good... listed below. Well... so far, so good. There are more to post into, but I don't use them, as they don't have relevance to me.

It allows 3 feeds... so yes, I have 3 RSS feeds from different sites all feeding into the one account. If you want unlimited feeds from unlimited domains, you need the enterprise account.

I'm at two months now, and whilst Christmas / New Year is not ideal to be measuring these things as so many are on holidays, even still now with many corporations, the result I was expecting in traffic is now starting to kick in, being my traffic has shifted from its standard mountain effect to a table top. This is the result I was anticipating from an SEO view in search results, being a more stable and consistent daily flow of traffic, let alone any further increase that will derive in the coming months as a result of increased social network activity via this software.

Those gullies and peaks differ up-to 2000 users a day, so shifting from mountain to table-top added significant traffic on days that where otherwise slower. The last table-top differs only about 600 now, over a two day period... thus a significant traffic gain already at 2 months via stability.

What I'm hoping to see is a slight increase in social network traffic, but more to start seeing the table top progressively increase in stability, even turning back to a rolling mountain again, but lesser deviation and higher traffic throughput.

Two months... and progress is now shining through. I always give Google six months before I trust results, though I am committed to this for a year to see true results and just what impact is gained from Google.

Based on these preliminary results, Google certainly does give decent credence to social network throughput and activity.

I'm curious How does it pick what to post? What if u end up posting 3rd rate or embarrasing content on Facebook?

You give it the RSS feed URL for your site (or a singular forum) and it checks at regular intervals for any new threads on the feed; if it finds any they are posted out to your selected social networks.

If you decide someone has posted 3rd rate or low quality content at your site and you delete it, you'll then need to login at the various social sites and delete / hide the content there too; there's no reversal or delete within OnlyWire once the posts have gone out.

Ahh, thanks. So on a high-volume site, one would most likely have to create a new subforum, and copy threads into it to be shared via RSS to OnlyWire?

I just can't see how it could be set-and-forget... If we give it an RSS feed to a public forum, what happens the next time someone rage-quits by posting porn threads? That's a lot of cleanup in isle 4.

Maybe find/get/create something in ACP to create a seperate feed by selecting what threads are added, or clicking them in topic itself..

I don't like that you have used affiliate links in your first post. Makes me think spam. How is this better/different than Hootsuite? Posting auto tweets to twitter from your RSS won't do a thing because no hashtags are used and no one will follow you because the tweets look spammy.

Ah ha... that's me... spam all the way. You just input the URL yourself!

Moving along... looking at Hootsuite, that is social media management, it doesn't say anything about automatically allowing you to post your RSS feeds to your social networks, only that you can upload lots of posts for automatic posting OR you input your post through their suite and it auto posts for you. Hootsuite is more social media management, i.e. responding to your profiles through a single interface, managing any negative content, so forth.

Slightly different systems. This one is all about inputting RSS feeds and automatically pushing them onto your social media profiles. This one allows you to manage the three main ones, but really, waste of time... unless your social engagement entails hundreds / thousands of posts a day, and if that is the case, not sure why a person would bother with a forum if they're getting more activity through social profiles.

This is all about getting onto social profiles, getting shared, favourited and such, but pushing users to your domain.
