As some of you may have been aware, XenForo.com was hit by a large script-based spam attack last week, all of which originated from the same IP address. I have contacted the abuse department of the ISP responsible for this IP.
Although we have cleared up the aftermath of this attack, I have just received a message informing me that another site has been targeted by the same attacker.
Therefore, as a preventative measure, I am going to suggest that all sites running XenForo (or any other sites that may want to protect themselves) ban the IP address of the perpetrator, which is:
69.251.58.85
You can ban this IP by entering your admin control panel, selecting the Users tab, then Banned IP Addresses in the left navigation panel, typing in the IP address and hitting the Ban IP button.
