RM 2.0 Not show versions if it's left empty?

XenForo 2, Beta 7: What do I need to change in order to not show versions if it's left empty when creating a new resource? Basicly, I don't want the date to show if no version is added.

or do you want the option to add a version if submitted and to hide it if not submitted?

Yes, that disables the versioning as a whole so no version number can be added at all.

That would generally require custom development/an add-on. Versioning is either enabled or disabled for an entire category.

A suggestion would be 2 categories, one with the version (or whatever field you want) and one without.

To many categories... But never mind, I solved it by adding release year as version instead.
