Not Receiving Email Alerts

As Admin, I am not receiving any email alerts of threads I am watching. Is this normal? Also, members are reporting they are also not receiving the email notices as well. I have browsed through the privacy settings, preferences, and contact information to make sure all the settings have been checked. Everything looks good, so I'm not sure what I'm missing.

Check the mail logs on the serve to ensure emails are being sent.
If they are, check spam folders.

Also check the ACP server error log.

They're not being sent at all. I am using SMTP transport method with SSL.

Are you using account authentication? If so, have you checked the account/password combination is correct?

Can you also try it without SSL enabled? Did it work?

Account/password combo is correct, still no go. Tried it without SSL and tested it on myself, it's working now. Will see in the morning if members get the notices as well.

Woohoo! Problem resolved. Members confirmed they were receiving the notices today. I think the port number may have been off with SSL.

Next question, how do I get my email notices to look as polished as XF's?
