Non-English characters in URLs

    A member in our community has issued a problem regarding Non-English characters in URLs.

    Is there a way to change non-english characters like ü,ç,ş,ö,ğ to u,c,s,o,ğ ?

    Otherwise the links get messy and doesn't look good.

    Maybe via .htaccess ?

    Normally it shows it as it is in the threat title. Example:


    when I copy - past this link it looks like this:


    Google indexes this as it is but it would be nice if someone could provide a code which we could use with htaccess to transform non english characters to english ones.

    I'd have this thread link rather look like this: /threads/foruma-yeni-konu-nasil-acarim.5868/
