XF 2.2 Node Permissions

Am trying to revise some node permissions. I'm logged in as a Super Admin and I keep getting an error:

Any suggestions?

By chance are you using an ad-blocker? If so, have you tried turning it off?

This comes up time and time again so a sticky thread is in order. If you encounter this error message and you are using a computer (rather than a mobile device), access the browser console (F12 if using Windows / Chrome). Select the Console tab and there should be an error message displayed...

We're on a shared WestHost server and unfortunately they cannot modify the mod_secuirty on a shared server as it could cause security concerns.

My problem now is that I can't alter any of our node permissions as it throws back an error.

Is there any way round this?

Although they did say they've done some sort of whitelist against our account, but it hasn't made any difference.

I haven't updated any of our node permissions for a long time, so I'm unsure how long this has been going on.

So, this is curious…

I can set the node as 'private' and it lets me do that without any issues.

I can also set an individual user with specific permissions to see the node, again no issues there.

However, when I try to alter a usergroup to give permissions, it throws up the error.

It's a webserver error so can only be resolved at the server level.

Your host just needs to identify which rules are being triggered and whitelist them.
