How do I get video thumbnails to appear instead of the "no thumbnail" three dot image?

Meaning the only time you'll see thumbnails to show is if you embed a video from youtube? The problem occurred on a video I uploaded.

For uploaded videos you need to enable ffmpeg to create thumbnails.

Apparently my shared hosting plan doesn't offer that
