MG 1.1 No thumbnail for uploaded videos

Hi,

i've got some uploaded videos but i couldn't get any thumbnails. What did i wrong?

You need to enable thumbnail generation in the media gallery options. It requires setting the path to your PHP executable and FFmpeg.

Can you explain what this exactly is? It is for transcoding right?

I installed FFmpeg and set this path /usr/bin/ffmpeg. I should rebuild thumbnails, right?

Yeah sorry for thumbnails you don’t need the PHP binary. You would need to rebuild thumbnails for existing videos.

Creating thumbnails for new videos is working now, but rebuild thumbnails for albums and media doesn't create thumbnails for existing videos.

@Chris D today comes another issue up. After installing [bd] attachment store and rebuild attachment data, all me album/media thumbnails are gone. Rebuild thumbnails doesn't work. The files are gone from server path. The path /data/xengallery/.. is empty.

Whats happend there? I am a little bit confused?

When it comes to that add-on, I honestly have no idea. You would have to ask the author of that add-on.

Is it possible to recreate all the thumbnails? Rebuilding in acp doesn't work.

Rebuilding should work and in my testing just now, it seems to. Have you run "Rebuild XenForo Media Gallery Thumbnails"?

I've rebuild both (see attach) many times, but nothing changes.

You need to remove the attachment store add-on from the equation. There's nothing I can think of that should stop the thumbnails from rebuilding and in my testing, it seems to be working fine.
