Duplicate No notification on mention after post edit

Steps to reproduce:

1. Write post
2. Edit that post
3. Add user mention in edited post: @someuser
4. Save post

The user 'someuser' does not receive notification about that mention.

Not sure if this is intentional.

if you edit a post, and include a new @mention or QUOTE, it doesn't trigger a notification for that user.

Is there an addon that sends a notification to moderators when a post is edited in a specific forum?

Or an addon that will automatically show this post in the moderation?
Or is there a setting for this?

If not, is there anyone among you who would create such an addon for a fee?

To get around it you could make another post with the @mention

then delete the post.

My suggestion was the XENFORO could alert you to the fact they aren't going to mention the post to who you tried to notify.

There also is a MAX number of notifications per post…
I think it is 5.
if you do more, some people aren't notified. No warning of the failure as well.

Deleting and reposting is just a workaround.

There is no valid reason to handle post edits differently.

Our members have raised concerns about not receiving notifications, despite their names being clearly mentioned in the post.
