XF 2.2 No content in "New Posts" widget when set to private forum

It works with public nodes but when I try to choose a private node, there's nothing.

1. Try creating a "New Posts" widget and set it to a single private node.
2. Use this widget in either the sidebar (forum list sidebar) or an XF Page.
3. Use two accounts with permissions to access the private node and reply to threads in the private node.

Using either accounts, I couldn't see the widget's contents for the private threads even tho I can access the private forum from the forum list.

Is anyone able to confirm this?
