newbie needs help

Hi. I registered my own domain on namecheap and now I wanna open my own forum.

I'm really ignorant in this field and I need to ask you some questions before buying a forum software.

- My new forum should linked to my subdomain and NOT to my domain, which will be a normal website with a link to the forum. Is all this possible? Another questions is: how can I create a subdomain?
I asked this to Namecheap forum, they told me that I need to have a hosting before creating a subdomain.

- As a newbie, I would need a ready-made forum, very simple to complete. This is the reason why a forum should be paid from users. However I read here that I need to install several things:

• PHP: 5.2.4+
• MySQL: 5.0+
• PHP extensions: MySQLi, GD (with JPEG support), PCRE, SPL, SimpleXML, DOM, JSON, iconv, ctype
• PHP safe_mode off

To be honest I know nothing about all this, what can I do to get things more clear and easy?

Stay away from Arvixe. They will hose you when you start sending kits of emails generated by your forum.

Everybody has their own opinion and every hosting does their own thing. Just making a suggestion when I used them. I also had Host Gator and Blue Host and that was just as bad. So I guess you pick your poison.
