XF 2.1 New user registration e-mails showing up in spam

Recently purchased, set up the domain, forums, domain-specific admin e-mail and everything but no matter what I try, e-mails always go to spam. Any tips? Is this common with brand new websites/forums? I am the opposite of tech-savvy but any advice greatly appreciated!!

This is pretty common, though unfortunately much of the configuration is outside of XenForo. You can see some discussion here: https://xenforo.com/community/resources/dealing-with-spam-filters.366/

You may also need to check your server IP to see if it's on blacklists. If it is, that will probably be the most significant issue.

Are you referring to members who are using Gmail? Or some other major email service?
