I clicked that in the admin dashboard and then this message comes up after trying to attempt:

No upgrade available
You are already running the current version (2.3.10). To do a fresh install, click here.
Rebuild master data

It worked the second time I tried it. Same with my other xenforo install.

This is generally just going to be PHP opccode cache issues.

My site always does this as well. I always just have to hit back and re-run it again. Annoying, but it works.

I tried that several times. Tonight forcing it to check for upgrades, it showed an upgrade for 2.3.11. I did that upgrade and it worked well.

The last two upgrades hung like that for me. It reports that the update is complete, but when you click into your admin, you are told that the site
is shut for upgrades. Rebuilding master Data worked for me both times. But both were a shock after 16 years of upgrades that were so predictably perfect.
