XF 2.0 New Posts - Not positioning at the first NEW post, but at the last

When I click on the New posts, it shows the Message Thread where the new post is shown, and then on the right date and person who wrote the last post. Clicking on the Thread link it takes me to the very first page of the thread, while clicking on the link on the right (date) would take me to the last POST on that thread.

Question is, if there are 6 new posts since I last visited, is there a way to click on something to go to that very first post after my visit, not the last one?

FOr example now it takes me to that last post, but I want it to position at the first NEW post


Is there a setting for this?

If you are logged in, clicking the thread title will take you to the first unread post.

is there a way to make that same thing go on the Whats New tab. Then clicking on the thread takes me to the first page of the thread. I wish it can take me to the first unread thread.

Btw I just tried it even from the first page, it does not do it, takes me to the last post (marked new), but there are severla others before that that are NEW as well. I want it to take me to the first new thread.

Is there a setting or something that needs to change?
