    Hi,

It would be nice to have a feature that shows a notification when there are new posts to show. Something like this: a notification in the title show (especially useful for 'tab users'), and a clickable message above the quick reply that shows the new messages.

    Notification in the title:

The message (must be clickable to show the new messages):

This has been suggested before but it is beyond the capability of most servers to push updates to users in that way.

Where can I find the previous thread?

Why is that? An ajax request is nothing more than a page view, and it's not necessary to fire it every second. And if people don't want to use this feature, they can disable it in the admincp?

    Bump.

I noticed such notification bar in the HYS thread about XML sitemaps. When was this feature introduced?

I see. It seems the "save draft" option checks for new messages so it's not exactly the same as the requested feature above. You actually have to start typing before it works. It would still be nice to have a (optional) timer that checks for new messages every x minutes.
