New forum member has username with emoji

So for the member who has the emoji smile face, can i remove it, the emoji from her username and i guess have to tell her or her text name will work ok?

Yes, just use the ACP to edit the username and remove the smiley - then send her a PM to explain that you don't want emoji's in usernames and have removed it.

If you've got the regex in place now you shouldn't have the problem again going forward as all new registrations will be run against the regex and disallowed if they don't conform.
