XF 1.2 Moving post to "no count" forum does not impact user post count?

I have a "Recycle Bin" forum with the "Count messages posted in this forum toward user total" option unchecked.

When a post from a forum that does count the post to the user's total gets moved to another forum that does not count toward user's total, I'm finding that the user's post count does not go down.

Is this expected behavior?

I was googling to find an answer to this and could only come up with this thread:

The only difference between my question and the thread above is that I'm moving individual posts from a thread to the "Recycle Bin" as opposed to the above thread where the OP moved an entire thread.

Hmm, well, I was hoping that I wouldn't have to do this every time but I just tried it out and it still counts the posts in the "Recycle Bin" I'm afraid.

Just to confirm though, rebuilding the post counters is done at:
Tools > Rebuild Caches > Rebuild Thread Information

Then check the "Rebuild position and post counters" box correct?

Neither one is intended to rebuild a users post count.
