XF 2.2 Moving post date to user details

Hello,
I would like to take $post.post_date (as seen in post_macros) and move it into the user details in message_macros (not by css).

Is there any way to output the post date within message_macros successfully? My attempts yield "Dec 31, 1969' across all posts.

In the end, this wasn't necessary. To move the date in with the user details you can just switch around some container divs without moving the variables to other templates.
