XF 2.1 Moving a post that's in Approval Queue

A post from a moderated user appears in the approval queue. I don't want the post to appear publicly but I want to preserve it in an admin-only section of the forum.

XF 1:
I Go to the Content, I select the post for moderation, and I move the post - XF gives me a choice of moving it to an existing thread or starting a new one. I move it, then refresh the Queue, the approve the post, and the desired result is achieved - no one except admins can see the post but I haven't deleted it.

XF 2:
I Go to the Content, I select the post for moderation, and then I'm stuck - how do get actually move it?
