XF 1.5 Moved to new host- An unexpected error occurred. Please try again later.

When i change the database password or username in the configuration file of xenforo i get a error when viewing the page source that access is denied.
However when i enter data correctly i get no message to help me figure out whats wrong.

The database name and passwords and the "localhost" are all working fine. What's going on that makes xenforo not work anymore? It still works on my old host and its a fresh backup/transfer.

Looking at your site now, I'm just getting errors relating to tables not existing, which would imply the DB hasn't been transferred properly. This doesn't sound like the error you were reporting here though.

I tried a different browser and proxy, but i am still getting the error i am describing. On iPhone as well.
