Hi guys, I just completed a move to a new VPS within the same host. The host did the site move for me and as far as I can tell everything but the XF forum is working fine. I keep getting "An unexpected database error occurred. Please try again later" message. Error logs on the server don't show anything. The database is there and checks out via cpanel. I have another XF forum on the same server that moved just fine and I can access it just fine. Any suggestions?

Try viewing the source code of the page to see if it gives a more detailed error message

A quick basic check would be to run the file health check in the ACP.

    Thanks Russ. I get this:

    PHP:
<!-- Mysqli statement execute error Got a packet bigger than 'max_allowed_packet' bytes -->

Sounds like you need to increase the max_allowed_packet size in the MySQL settings.
