XF 2.2 More Prominent Post Date

I'm trying out various options to combat necroposting. My users have suggested that some styling on the post date might help. Such as a bold red post date when the date is older than X days.

Thanks for any ideas.

The issue I've found is that you can never rely on users reading something. It could be 36px, bold, red, blinking and they would still ignore it.

You'd probably be better off with an addon like this where the user actually has to click something.

@AndyB on a related topic, have you considered on your Auto Close addon the option to use last post time rather than thread start time?
