XF 1.5 Moderated Posts Don't Show in New Posts

We have a confirmed behavior - if a post goes into the moderation queue, once it's approved, it does not appear in New Posts for our users. This is unexpected and unwanted behavior - is there a workaround or configuration item we can change?

We have the same problem and need to find a solution. I'd write an addon for this, but it doesn't seem like its the right behaviour.

Can't confirm that. Everything works as intended. If you are a mod and you approve or view the thread / post, obviously, this won't appear in your new posts list. Your users and all mods, who haven't viewed that post, should still see the new post in the thread.

We can confirm it as comes-and-goes behavior. The reports come from users who are definitely not moderators. For me as mod/admin, everything works as expected. These same users, however, do report that it works as it should sometimes, and then not sometimes. We've noticed that some things that don't work get fixed when we rebuild everything via ACP->Tools, so perhaps that's at the root of the problem.

Are these posts which get auto-moderated before anyone has viewed them or is there a chance that users could have seen those posts before they went into moderation?

I'm not sure what you mean by "auto-moderated" but no, they don't appear to the regular users in any way before they're approved via the moderation queue. The place we notice them is from users who are permanently in moderation - if such a user posts, once the post has been approved, it doesn't appear in New Posts for our regular users until someone _else_ has also posted on a particular thread, and it's at that point that our users notice the moderated-and-approved post.
