XF 1.2 Missing reply box

Hi,

Since Wednesday I have been getting strange reports from various members saying they can't see the reply box to post message unless they "quote" a post first, there is no pattern with browsers some are on FF, Chrome, Ipad etc - clearing the browser cache seems to fix the issue for a short while before it starts again.

Also sometimes when a post is made it will post the message 2 , 3 or 4 times, I am running XF 1.2.3 , extra no add-ons etc have been added or removed so its all a bit of a mystery.

Anyone have any idea's what may be causing the issue? Server perhaps?

Does this happen on the default style?

Doesn't seem to but it's hard to tell as the problem comes and goes, the only temp fix is to clear the browser cache

Thanks, another strange thing is in my theme I had made changes to the footer template ages ago, i decided to revert it back to standard but even though in admin cp the template is back to normal the website still how's the modified footer template, no idea how that is possible

Ok I have just noticed the host seem to be using pagespeed on the js files

Could this be causing issues with the editior not loading correctly as stated in first post?
