XF 2.1 Migration from XF1.5 to XF2.1 with server change

Hello,

I'm planning to upgrade to XF2.1 my XF1.5 forum.
I read several threads about this and also the help but didn't found any tips regarding my context.
So let me expose it here.

For this migration, I will also change server to have a clean LAMP installation with latest versions of PHP and Mysql and other.
So I don't know how I have to proceed concretely with the XF1 data.

Should I:

1- copy on the new server the XF folder (including all XF1.5 files and all forum attachments/images) and also the database.
2- overwrite with XF2.1 package
3- run the upgrade protocol

Is this correct or do you suggest something else?

I would do the upgrade on the more beefier server. Which is most likely the new one.

So:

1) server change
2) take time to test if everything works perfectly at the new server
3) upgrade

Thank you for your answer ... and sorry to not answer quickly, I wasn't at home.

I will do it this way.

Should I deactivate all extensions while performing the tests before upgrading to XF2.1?
