XF 2.1 Migrating from vbulletin 4.2.5 to xenforo including change of domain

Hi there

Just a quick question please I am not quite ready to make the change yet just making sure it is possible

I want to migrate from vbulletin to xenforo AND change the domain of my site at the same time

Is it possible to sort the 301's with google via htaccess and redirection script etc and is that something that support on here will help get rocking when it comes to it?

There are various redirection scripts available here: https://xenforo.com/community/resources/categories/redirection-scripts-2-x.52/

If IDs are retained then you don't need the scripts - you can use rewrite rules in .htaccess.

It's worth mentioning though that official ticket support doesn't cover redirection, but you can post in the forum for community based assistance here: https://xenforo.com/community/forums/installation-upgrade-and-import-support.23/

It is possible, you will still need control of the old domain however if you were planning on selling it on or letting it expire.
