Migrate from VB 5.5.1 to XF

Hi all,

Our small rare disease health forum has been using VB since 2008. Had nothing but issues since we upgraded to VB5 and now we are looking into migrating to XF.

In the manuals it says that importing is possible till version 5.3 of VB but our version is newer.

Can someone let us know if it will be possible without too much coding etc?

I do not believe there to be any issues with importing from vBulletin 5.5, though we haven't explicitly tested it or had it confirmed either.

No issue will be totally insurmountable though, so if you go ahead and have issues, please let us know and we will be able to troubleshoot and get the importer fixed.

Thank you for your quick reply. If necessary how long does it usually take to fix the importer? As you can understand i dont want to buy XF and then find out it will take months for us to be able to migrate

If you face any issues, the best thing to do is submit a ticket and provide all of the login details for both databases and the admin details for your XF installation.

That will enable us to see the problem as it happens, look at the source data to see what is triggering it, and then apply a fix for you directly. So, hopefully, hours/days rather than weeks/months
