XF 1.4 Membercard and SEO

Hi,

For example imagine that Google is crawling a random thread and then Google tries to access the profile of a member who posted on that thread (to index its contents)... will Google also get the membercard instead of the full profile?

I believe that the profile of members have valuable information that might make Google to find even more content like the "Recent Activity" tab which contains links to other threads that Google might follow and index!

So is Googlebot also getting the membercard?

It's really a question of whether google opts to use javascript to follow links, which is highly unlikely. The bot will see the link but probably wont go intepreting javascript looking for overlays.

You can also test by doing

curl -A "Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Googlebot/2.1; +http://www.google.com/bot.html)" https://xenforo.com/community/members/super120.62179/

and view the results. Lastly you can use webmaster tools to see what google is actually producing OR you can do a search on google for
site:xenforo.com inurl:super120.62179
and view what is cached, which suggests it is indexing the full page and not the overlay
