any main reason this would happen also seems to only be in chrome (12.0.742.91 beta-m)

It could be a corrupt cookie.

Try clearing out cache and cookies and see if that resolves it.

tryed that mate
Just "shows the javascript" for logging in but its still on the login page.
Thanks for moving it ... styling... I should wake up more before jumping on the computer

Very odd javascript (no idea why that was messing with the login) as there is Zero on the admin login page
Prob as you said some "shagged cookie"
