Media Gallery Upload/Embed Options

In your media gallery, in this edit window, you can click on Insert Image and get a drop down menu with choices of Upload/Drop Image or Upload By URL.

I cannot find the setting for the ability to have these choices.

How do we get the option for both, with Upload/Drop Image being the default?

There’s no such options for the gallery as they are very much so rich text editor features.

To initialise the upload or embed a BB code media site URL you have to click on the appropriate button.

How do I get the "insert image" icon to bring up this drop down with both options, like on your website

What’s this got to do with the media gallery, then?

That feature is for adding or uploading images to posts and is nothing to do with the media gallery.

In your case it would seem like the logged in user does not have permission to upload attachments in that forum. You can use the permission analyser in the Admin CP to figure out how the permissions are being applied.
