Media Gallery - AV Tools on Upload, Video Embed Only?

I have a few questions about the Media Gallery add on. Can anyone with experience chime in?

Does the Media Gallery have any built in antivirus tools that scans image uploads? If not is it possible to add one.

On another sort of related note is it possible to configure the media gallery to accept embeds only? We want to remove the upload option but allow users to embed pictures and videos.

No and yes, in that order.

There are some safeguards against malicious images in XF itself though antivirus for images isn’t really a thing.

Specifically we take steps to verify that what is being uploaded is an image and isn’t trying to disguise itself as anything else, such as executable code.

There isn’t really much more that we can do.
