hello,
i was about to upgrade to maria 10.4, so i started reading up a little on it....
then i came across something saying the code is forking a bit to be its own thing and will no longer be fully compatible as a drop in replacement for mysql...
meaning, i assume, if we upgrade to maria 10.4 we may not be able to go backwards...it seems this maybe be a line in the sand time for pick one or the other am i right?
it could be an easier choice too, but recent mysql upgrades have stepped toward closing the performance gap, so it is much less clear which will be superior into the future.....
whats peoples thoughts on this i wonder?
oh yeah here is one link, im sure the info is all around tho
