MG 2.1 Manually update category count?

I need to update once the category IDs for albums and media based on another table linking to media IDs which is data outside of the standard XF structure. I can update the category IDs fine for both the xf_mg_album and xf_mg_media_item tables ok and they're all correctly appearing in the relevant category for both albums and media. The problem is the category image count in xf_mg_category isn't updating. I assumed it might update from a cron job but none of them seem to affect that metric.

Is this value updated upon media add/remove only, never calculated from a cron? If so, that's fine I can update the value based on the media counts, just wanted to confirm I'm not doing anything wrong here, missing something in the category relationship for MG.

Nevermind, forgot about the Rebuild caches section. All resolved.
