Managing a premium community

I am looking for some advice from those who are managing premium communities.

I have a training website that I am in the process of beginning, but as it stands that content is restricted from guests and none paying members.

What are people using to make this indexable? Purely the preview snippet?

I am using xenForo's built in upgrades system for handling the premium content, which is suitable for my needs.

I just need to be able to show a good enough preview, without revealing the entire article - so that google can index my resources.

I just wondered how other people are approaching this and if anybody has any success with preview snippets.
