MAMP on Mac OSX

I've installed Xenforo on my mamp installation but I'm not sure how long it will last.

It's weird though because I wasn't allowed to use port 80. So now my url looks like this.

It could be that some programs like skype can take over port 80, you can switch it in skype's settings to use something else and then it should be useable by other apps, I'm sure this would apply to some other software titles as well that use designated ports.

Mac OSX also has a built in web server on Apache running on port 80.

Google about that and you should find guides to disable it.

Then uninstall and reinstall MAMP.

Or even better just edit the Apache doing to listen on port 80 and restart MAMP.
