XF 1.5 Making the database smaller

Hello, I am searching a way to make the database smaller. I want to cut down some things. I read the search index is the biggest database eater. How can I remove it ? In the database I see search and search_index tables. Should I delete both ?

What else can I cut down?

If you delete the search index then search will no longer function on your site.

You can disable various logging (e.g. IP) and post edit history, as well as the bb code parse cache.

Other than that though, there's not much you can do to reduce the size.
