XF 2.3 Make registration page smaller

Is there some way I can make the registration page smaller? It goes offscreen at the bottom on a 13" laptop screen and also offscreen on some phones as well. Ok I know people can scroll down but ........ they might miss the bit at the bottom. If it was just that bit smaller you could see everything - there is far too much space on it.

What verification are you using, if its image based captcha that maybe using extra space than the example above, a possible easy tweak to save some screen real estate ?

That screenshot is from the site in the OP's signature.

It's the standard registration form and easily fits on a small screen.

Unless the query is in relation to a different site.

Well if you have a menu bar and a bookmarks bar at the top .......... and maybe I have my screen enlarged a bit then But if you add the date of birth field as well it goes even further off the bottom of the page. It's the same on phone screen as well.

I guess other short-sighted people might have screens a bit enlarged too .......... Although I appreciate making it slightly smaller could make it harder to read, but ............

Mine chops off at "I agree to the terms and privacy policy - so some people might not realise there's a register button underneath and think just ticking that is it (although I'm sure they'd soon realise).

Anyway I'd just like to resize it a bit.

I'd also like to edit the line "this is the name that will be shown with your messages ..."

Sounds like it might has to do with your display resolution and/or zoom.

Here in 1920x1080, 100%:


Now a little narrower to trigger the responsive version:


If I zoom in, in 1920x1080, I get this, which is fine. As you'll see, the scroll bars are there on the right side.


I suggest you double-check your device display settings and/or zoom level, it might very well solve your issue.

Thanks yes it may be my display settings on the computer. If it's full screen it's ok but toggling full screen on and off can be annoying for people. But my phone is just a phone Albeit not the largest screen size of phone.

Once you add the date of birth field as well ............... it makes it longer. I;ve seen registration forms elsewhere that are much smaller on the screen.

Anyway is there any way I can just resize it a bit? Make the email and password boxes less deep. And also change the wording under "username"?

Change the padding a bit maybe?
