XF 1.3 Make Custom Admin Navigation Permanent

when i add custom navigation i want it to stay there for ever so when i run xenforo upgrade script it doesnt get removed!

and i am not good with php coding, and i looked through some of the dev tuts on template hooks and add one making it seems way to complicated.

but i get basic template editing, CSS modification <-- mainly this

and basic TMS

Assign it to an addon other than XenForo. Create your own addon:

Admin CP -> Development -> Create Add-on

thats the thing i don't know how i looked the the php file stuff u need to make and event listeners and stuff did not make any sense to me.

or mean just make an blank add one that does nothing and make it act as a host/shortcut ?
