XF 1.2 Lost everything

I clicked on Begin Installation, but it didn't do anything for about a minute, no signs of the browser doing anything. So I decided to refresh the page...I clicked on Begin Installation again. This time it instantly said installation complete.

Seemed weird that it upgraded to 1.2 so quick... All seemed fine, but then I noticed the profile pages were broken and not showing the new layout. I figured the upgrade didn't complete. So I went back to the install url and it told me to delete install-lock.php in order to do a fresh install. There was no warning message telling me that deleting that file from my server will wipeout my forum.. I deleted it... But this deleted everything... posts, add ons, users etc.

Luckily, i was installing it on my test site. NOT my main site !

Anyone else had this issue?

IF this happens again when installing it on my main site... Is there anyway to fix a bad install without risking deleting everything?

How do I run the query? When I try it says I need to select at least one column, but which one? And do I need to pick any Tables?

You shouldn't have to select any columns. Just run the query. In phpmyadmin there is a SQL tab to run queries.

Of course you do need to select the database in the left column of phpmyadmin before clicking the SQL tab on the right. The query is run against the db, so a db must be selected.

I ran the query and I got this at the top.

#1060 - Duplicate column name 'require_prefix'

When I enable Listerners in config.php I can't see my forum - It says 'requested forum could not be found'.

Obviously there is a conflict with one of your addons. You need to troubleshoot to determine which one is causing the problem. Disable your addons one-by-one in the Admin CP.

But all addons are already disabled.

Right now.. All addons and listeners are disabled. I can browse and access forum fine. Apart from the sorting order is not right.

But when I enable listeners even with all addons still disabled.. The forum doesn't show and I get the forum could not be found message.

When I rebuild master data. It still gives me the failed install message. As i shown above. Because of the failed install theb sorting tables etc is missing hence why the threads are showing oldest first and newest last.

Also profile pages are broken.

I would advise you to revert to a backup, address the addon conflicts first, then upgrade again. Fixing a botched upgrade is less preferable.
