XF 2.1 Login wheel just spinning

Some of my members are having trouble here. They enter their credentials to log in, but the little circle thing just keeps turning as if the software is endlessly thinking about it.

Turns out, they are actually logged in after a second or two - if they re-fresh during the wheel spinning, then the login request goes through and they're in. But it's just annoying and not very slick.

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

Issues of that nature are typically due to third party customisation such as custom JS, etc.

Reverting to a completely default unedited style with all add-ons disabled should help to track it down.

If there is any commonality between affected members such as browser, OS, device, etc. that information will also be useful.

Thank you, you were right, it was an add-on that was behaving inconsistently. Removing it solved the problem.
