XF 1.3 login to forums on from a separate page (home page of website)

hi, wht im trying to do is to allow my users to login to the forums from my home page of my website.
is there a way to do this?
the purpose of this exercise is so i can save myself having to create a seperate login for the site AND the forum.

Which software does your home page use?
You will require a bridge of some sort.

So, could I then use this addon to create a login which is separate from the forum?

One question, however, if my understanding is correct, XF controls the login process under this Addon, yes?

Maybe I'm missing something but you could just use form id="login" method="post"
