Duplicate Log out takes 50 seconds in Google Chrome

When click "Log out" in Google Chrome, the browser shows "Processing request" and the request https://xenforo.com/community/logout/?t=... finishes after 50 seconds.

Browser: Google Chrome Version 76.0.3809.100 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Couldn't reproduce in Firefox - it works instantly.

It's a browser issue,

Browser issue - Session does not close with Chrome

User name -> Log out = processing. It really closes, but it doesn't change the screen, which remains processing. It happens with Chrome 75.0.3770.142 (64 bits). It works fine with Edge, so it could be related to Chrome.

For the life of me, I cannot figure out why Chrome is so popular, I use it occasionally (Firefox is my default) and whenever I do it takes forever to load and uses a lot of resources for reasons which aren't clear at all (I do not have a lot of extensions in Chrome because I only use it rarely).

And to the opposite, having used Chrome for years and trying out Firefox again over the last few months I have a lot more issues in Firefox with various sites and it's generally noticeably slower.

Without getting into a "best browser" contest...

I also have had this slow down experience since the very latest update to XF.

The solution - eventually - was to clear all history in Chrome
1 - Ctrl-H
2. Select "Clear browsing data"

Had the same issue, but because I moved my forum to another host today I thought it was a configuration problem with the new provider.
Just flushing the Chrome cache was indeed the solution!
