Localhost Software

Hi,

What software do you guys use for your localhost to test your websites functionally before uploading to your main website?

I've found two but not sure if there any good - XAMPP and MAMP, but I'm sure there's many more, I used to use one years ago but forgot it's name as I've not used xenForo and only recently renewed my license.

On my iMac I use vagrant with Virtual Box to run Debian Jessie. Inside the guest machine it‘s just plain MariaDB, PHP 7.1 and apache via apt-get.
