If a member signs up to our forum with these addresses we always get a bounce back (eg below). Is this something we have set up maybe? If not, what is going on please? The addresses are definitely correct and their inboxes aren't full etc, all fine their end.

Thanks. We are on a dedicated box with NH, not shared.
Your IP does not appear to be in any of the major blacklists, so this is most likely specific to hotmail.
There is a process for resolution but you have to get your IP listed with them.
I found participating in this site - https://postmaster.live.com/snds/index.aspx (which is MS supported) and listing my IP's resolved most of my issues.
This assumes you also have all the other processes in place (SPF, DKIM signing, RDNS, etc).

I'm on Nimbus too, it's hotmail being pain in the arse and super strict, there's a few threads if you search.

Once it's setup right it's fine.

You have to setup dkim and spf.

Sign up to this too:

You can also use Hotmail/outlook.com/live.com's Smart Network Data Services (SNDS) and the Junk Mail Reporting Program (JMRP) to be notified when your server has been detected sending spam/junk. This helps detect when users are sending your email to the junk/spam folder.

I think the notifications should be automatically parseable, so it may be possible to automatically sent users to 'email bounced' if it is detected that are marking as spam your emails.

Use https://www.mail-tester.com/ to check you've got it setup right.

Since doing all that I've been fine.
