Add-on List addon?

List addon, does that exist already, or someone planned it?

• Member creates a list with title, description and ranking. Some cool bbcode or something to show the actual list.
• Short comment/reason beside each entry
• Widget for Popular Lists / New Lists
• Ability to embed a list into a forum post
• Optional collaborative lists?

That would give you things like top 10 car brands, “Top 20 locations to visit etc.

There are public Toplists which has a real collaborative feel.
You can't embed a list in a post.
The Lists are not in the forum, they are isolated in their own Tab.

It does a bit, yes. I was considering something simpler, which targets something around 20 price area, not 50+
(as I don't need all the features there, even though the addon looks great).

• Lists are added to the threads. There is a dedicated list forum node (or not, if you prefer it enabled on all nodes). They do not live outside the forum in its dedicated nav area and page (which requires additional page layouts and more features).
• Member creates a forum thread with title, and adds the BBcode (which contains the ranking table, description and any additional information you want to show within the frame of the bbcode ranking list). The list itself from the TopList bbcode embed visually looks good, even though it points to the list section.
• Short comment/reason beside each entry. Maybe area for users to add new bullet points of information, if required.

I think Lists are ideally done within threads. Isolating lists to another Tab is OK alot of the time, but not always.

Your version is similar to a similar to a List addon that I have been thinking about for some time. I think it's super weird that i've essentially never seen a "forum-based" community addon with a list function.

Don't get me started about pages.

I'd think this could be a use case for one of the add ons by @Bob like RMS, Showcase or IMS
