XF 2.3 Linking forums from the overview page

Hello,

Let me start by apologizing for probably explaining this badly. I simply do not know the correct terms and there's a language barrier. I assume this is very easy to solve if you know what terms to use in your search. I've set up my forums like this:

forum_overview.webp

I want the Wiki forum to go one level deeper. If I make posts now, I get this overview:

wiki_overview.webp

That works as intended for the other forums, but I want this to be the category page for the wiki. This means I want to be able to click on one of the test posts here and that would then lead me to another forum page where all the content is actually displayed. For instance, Test - Parent would become Entities and clicking on that would lead me to the forum page with all the articles about entities. I probably messed up by having News/Articles/Tutorials/Wiki as Forum (Article) and General Forum as well the forum. I would appreciate a push in the right direction so I know what to look for in terms of help.

Thanks in advance,
Sprony

I did what you said and it works, I can go one level deeper but...I can't post anything in the index page so it's an extra click for basically the same result. I've probably done something wrong. It looks like this now:

wiki_levels.webp

But the idea is to be able to post on the index page which would lead me to actual articles in that category. I've set it up like this:

wiki_setup.webp

Wiki has now been removed from the top bar. It also now says sub forums and then index.

examples.webp

It should just say Wiki. Just like I did with News and then when I click it (using news as an example) it should show up like this (which is the index page) and then clicking on one of those should lead me to the forum with everything regarding that subject. So I click Wiki, I get an overview of the index (the categories) and when I click on something, that brings me to the page with all the articles.

Sounds like you are trying to click an article thread title and expecting it to act like a sub-forum title.

Sort of yeah. If you click on news you get this page and it works as intended:

However, what I want for the wiki is that the page you see at news (with all the articles displayed) is filled with categories for the wiki (same layout, I'll be using images). So each article/image is in fact a category for the wiki (consider it an index page of sorts) and by clicking on it, it will lead to the actual forum of that category filled with articles covering the topic. I hope that makes sense.
