Learn to program xenforo

Wouldn't it be nice if there was a teaching tutorial for people who want to make their own addons? With coaches that you can ask questions. This would improve the amount of new add on creation. I have so many ideas but where do you start?

I recommend you start with this one, because that's how I started.

After that, use the tutorial addon you created and expand it to your idea.

Then I proceeded on watching Kier's videos. I watched that video at least 10 times just to get it in my head.

Once you know how code them, it'll feel so rewarding because you can now build in-house addons and make your ideas come true. So far I created 3 in-house addons and addons that extends/overrides existing addons in the Resource area. I know you can do it, too!

Thanks for the reply. Very usefull. But don't i need to learn a certain programming language first?

If you just want to edit layouts and looks you need to know html and css (for anything beyond the style props), if you want to be preparing dynamic data or create an application of sorts within XF you will need to learn php.
