XF 1.5 Language question

Do language add-ons typically translate member content like posts and messages? I assume that is impossible...I have installed a French language and set it up as its own, then as child to English...which is correct.

It seems to be working except my nodes and descriptions. Is there a way for a user to switch to French and see my nodes in French? If I do this manually, do you know where I do this?

I assume it's because node titles and descriptions are things you choose, so they can't translate.

So I would probably have to be a coder or something to modify templates like "if french"...which I am not. It's ok most french-canadians are bilingual. at least they get the courtesy of half french.

There are several instances of areas of the system that cannot be translated and the data is not stored in phrases.

Node titles and descriptions are one of these areas.
